  6. EliHorne.com » On Google Analytics Says:

[...] If you’ve followed my posts for the past two weeks you probably know that I’ve grown “slightly” disenchanted with Google Adsense. After promoting the hell out of them and delivering a site that actually got page clicks, google deauthorized my account and confiscated the measly earnings without telling me why. Bleh. Despite the sour taste that this left in my mouth, I’m still interested in online advertising. The good that came out of this experience is that it opened up a world of sites that I would have never considered. Google’s ad layout has become the de facto standard for online ads. Competitive companies mimic their style, and any one that knows anything about web design has dabbled with the code. It is because of this that they have become INVISIBLE. Since they are everywhere, the average internet surfer’s eye just passes over them. The only people that click are tricked into doing so. SEO blogs spend pages describing the latest tricks (placing images, wrapping text around them) for getting clicks. What amazes me the most is that google gives you so little in return. They won’t tell you what percentage of the click you are earning, where the clicks are coming from. Nothing. They are big because the ads are targeted by content on the page. But even that is flawed. The brutal truth? There are better services out there. Really, there are. Don’t believe me? Check out this list of 84 alternatives. [...]

I was searching around and found the following site which is worth a look. It gives a list of the supposedly top 10 alternatives to Google Adsense. There is lots of information provided about each program and I found it quite helpful.

I also found another page at the same site that focuses on advertizers looking for adwords alternatives

    Hi guys-

One you might have left out – great alternative to Adsense, and even offers CPD, CPM and CPS (pay per diem, pay per impression, and pay per sale) ads for publishers.

    http://www.adsuare.com

    Thanks, all; hope it helps.

  17. lanceh Says:

I think they pay 17% of CPC ads and 10% of CPM ads. Don’t know about CPD and CPS though.

    :)

  18. Game Advertising Says:

Great list! There’s always guys on the webmaster forums asking for something like this, will start referring them over to this post to take a look.

I’m actually working with a niche specific advertising network which specializes in the gaming industry…

The URL is: http://www.Game-Advertising.com which was formerly ApexGamingAds.com

Take a look and let us know what you think!

    Regards

  19. lanceh Says:

Scratch that, looks like they’re paying 10-13% on CPM campaigns (skyscrapers, leaderboards, banners, rectangles) and 50% on CPC campaigns, text ads and banners. I’m sticking with these guys for now, will be glad to update. ;)
